You do not need to stay in shelter to access Hubbard House services. In fact, a majority of those we serve do not stay in shelter, but instead, use our outreach programs and services.

These programs and services assist victims of domestic violence who do not wish to come into shelter. Some are transitioning out of shelter; some may still be in an abusive relationship, and some may need continuing support now that they are out of the violent relationship. The outreach team delivers a critical lifeline of support beyond the walls of Hubbard House.

Specific outreach services include:

Individual and Support Group Counseling
  • Counseling is available for both adults and children. The entire family benefits from individual and group counseling, education, and the unique healing impact of informal discussions with other victims and survivors.
Outreach Advocacy
  • Outreach advocates support and help implement Hubbard House's philosophy of empowerment. The team helps clients assess their needs and establish goals based on their individual circumstances, with a primary focus on safety for the family. Once basic needs are met, we assist participants with long-term goal making, including continued safety planning, education, employment, housing, and relocation.
Children’s Services
  • Hubbard House provides age-appropriate therapeutic programs in an effort to help break the cycle of violence. The HARK (Helping At Risk Kids) program offers educational support for children aged 3-17 who have witnessed domestic violence.
