Child Advocate
Full-Time- This is a childcare worker position that works with children in the Therapeutic Childcare Center. Duties include assisting victims of domestic violence and maintaining a classroom setting following the Children’s Services Therapeutic Childcare Curriculum and The Department of Children and Families criteria. Child Advocate (childcare worker) is also responsible for providing crisis intervention, counseling, case management and advocacy for victims of domestic violence. Employee will work indoors, outdoors and off-site.
Requirements:High School diploma or G.E.D. required. Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), DCF 30 and 10-hour courses, CPR/First Aid certified and Florida Food Handlers Card required. Full time or Part-time Facilitator
Facilitator(s) needed in both Duval and St. Johns Counties for those interested in experiencing a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the domestic violence service and prevention field. Facilitators in the batterers’ intervention program are responsible for facilitating or co-facilitating group sessions with individuals who are referred to or who volunteer to attend our program. Those referred to our program may live in the community or may be incarcerated. Facilitators must have the ability to appropriately and respectfully challenge group members and their belief systems in the direction of Hubbard House’s mission of “every relationship violence-free”. Therefore, excellent verbal skills and crisis management are a must. The candidate for this position must be an independent self-motivated person who can meet deadlines. This candidate must also have the ability to work with culturally diverse groups.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in the human services field or two years experience in the domestic violence field. Flexible hours including weekends are required. Attend and complete extended training to become a fully approved Facilitator with the state of Florida. Masters’ degree and bilingual a plus.

Shelter Resident Assistant
The Shelter Resident Assistant will provide for the daily needs of residents and crisis intervention to include handling all crisis/hotline and information calls. This position has responsibility for the security and operation of the Emergency Shelter.
Requirements:Applicant must have a High School diploma or G.E.D., valid drivers license, eligible as a driver for agency and agency insurance, and 1-year crisis intervention/human services experience preferred. Position requires the ability to identify and solve problems in a calm, logical manner. Problem solving will include cooperative efforts with the Advocates, Shelter Coordinator, and other staff.
